The festival
24·90 FC is a film festival dedicated to football, based in Medellín, Colombia.
Its first edition runs from 4 to 7 March 2027.
It is organised by Corporación Cinéfagos, a non-profit organisation with Colombian
tax ID (NIT) 900.654.298-9, registered at Calle 58A #40-39, Medellín.
The name brings together the two units it comes from: 24
frames per second, the pulse of cinema, and 90 minutes,
the pulse of football. Two passions, one meeting point.
02
Which films are eligible
One single condition unites the whole programme: that football is present, whether
as the core of the plot, as the trigger, or as the context in which the stories
unfold. Format, running time and cinematic language are free.
Fiction, documentary, animation, experimental and any other genre are accepted,
first films included. The use of artificial intelligence tools is accepted, and we
appreciate it being declared on the entry form. Declaring it does not affect the
assessment.
Completion date: on or after 1 January 2024,
as declared on the Festhome entry form.
Finished films only: rough cuts and works in progress are not
accepted.
Premiere: not required. A film may have premiered or screened before at
other festivals or in cinemas.
Origin: open to all countries.
Language: free. Films that are not in Spanish are submitted with burned-in
or separate subtitles in Spanish or English.
On subtitles. A film without Spanish or English subtitles is
left out of the assessment process, because the committee cannot judge it on equal
terms with the rest.
03
The sections
The Official Selection is the competitive part of the festival and has two sections.
Each film is submitted to one only, according to its running time.
Running time is counted in full, credits included: a film of up to
39 minutes and 59 seconds goes to
Toque Corto, and from 40 minutes, to Largo Aliento. If a
film is submitted to the wrong section, the festival moves it to the right one.
Largo Aliento
The Full Ninety
Features from 40 minutes, from any country
and genre.
Toque Corto
Short Pass
Shorts and medium-length films from 1 to
39 minutes, from any country and genre.
The festival also programmes two non-competitive sections. Cuadro Abierto brings together
the films the committee wants to show out of competition, and may include films received through
this call. Fecha de Clásicos brings together the football films that have already become a reference point:
what gets cited, what a festival or an academy awarded at the time, what a country claims as its own.
Only films completed at least 10 years before the edition are
eligible: for 2027, that means up to 2017. It is
built by invitation and falls outside this call.
Latin American cinema, with Colombia at its centre, has no separate section:
it competes on equal terms in the two sections of the Official Selection, and the programming
team actively seeks it out.

How to submit

Deadline. The period ends on
